Today we engaged in a Reader's Theatre activity. Students worked in small groups, choosing scenes that "spoke" to them. They practiced acting out the scenes. Finally, they performed their scenes in front of the larger reading group. This was a great way to practice fluency and develop empathy for some of the characters. They enjoyed "bringing the book to life."
