Today we integrated some math and spelling by playing the "Word Value Game." Each letter of the alphabet was assigned a dollar value (a=1 b=2, etc.. Students worked in pairs to create words with the highest dollar value. Students used multiple strategies including adding prefixes, suffixes, and making words plural.
